SHXLife^® 240 (PI) Flat combines the proven SHXLife^® insulation system of longer lifetime with the outstanding thermal and chemical durability of a polyimide enamel system. This flat wire is engineered for demanding applications where high electrical strength, long lifetime, and chemical resistance are essential – especially in traction motors in emobility.

Thanks to its optimized insulation thickness, the wire maintains an excellent copper fill factor, allowing compact winding designs. SHXLife^® 240 (PI) Flat provides excellent resistance to partial discharge, supports long-term thermal performances under Class 240 conditions and ensures operating voltages beyond 800 V.

The polyimide layer offers superior resistance to oils, coolants, and other aggressive fluids, making it the perfect choice for chemically challenging environments.
